Saturday August 19th 1991 marks the 26th anniversary of Hurricane Bob. Hurricane Bob affected Southeast Massachusetts and Rhode Island as the last landfalling hurricane in Southern New England. Fast forwarding to Saturday August 19th 2017, a significant flash flood event with 4-8"+ of rain fell over portions of Cape Cod and the Islands with 2-4" of rain in other parts of South Coastal Massachusetts and the western portions of Cape Cod and the northern part of Martha's Vineyard.
