Folks,
Eastern Massachusetts ARES will be doing its Simulated Emergency Test
(SET) for Saturday 11/12/22 at 1000 AM-1200 PM coincident with the
national Winlink exercise. Our scenario will be customized from the ETO
National Winlink exercise. Details of the exercise are provided on a
link within the Nov 6 latest news posting on
https://ema.arrl.org/category/emcomm/

The South Shore ARES district will be conducting a voice net on the
Bridgewater .18 repeater. For those that want to participate please tune
up the NOAA weather radio channels during this week to get the data
requested in the drill document.
I would suggest listening long enough to get the callsign and frequency
also. We will ask for the callsign or frequency since different radios
have different channel/frequency standards.

The exercise doc has the form for the data we collect during the net:
Reporting station, location, NOAA WX1, NOAA WX2, NOAA WX3,
Indoor/outdoor antenna used. Signal strength would also be useful.

If you can participate, please check in to the net between 10 and 12 and
provide your report. A long time commitment is not required. We are just
looking for participation.

For those that have a schedule conflict or want to do more than a local
voice check in, I would suggest sending a field situation report form
via winlink to N1XTB or participate via the many other means listed in
the exercise doc.

Net operations will also be conducted on the Dartmouth 147.000 repeater.

Thanks for your interest in public service and emergency communication.
