  I was talking to 2 Sargentsts. From EB Police department about this situation. There suggestion was to carry a copy of your ham license and the law that follows in you vechial. The jest was to help a exuberant  Officer. Just make sure you have 1 hand on the steringweal. 
 Yes Gov. Baker did sign the bill.


New State Driving Laws Take Effect
Massachusetts has settled on a one-hand-on-the-wheel rule for mobiles. The state's two ARRL Section Managers report they have received confirmation that the state's distracted driving law does not apply to two-way mobile radio operation.
