Saturday October 19, KC1TAC will be hosting 300+ Cub Scout at Camp Norse 
in Kingston for the 62nd  Jamboree on the Air.

If you are available to attend, like Greg W1VFB, Paul KB1MTW and Rick
KB1TEE, please reply today so we can add your name to our list of Hams.

           Arrive at 8am bring your favorite Soda/drink plan to leave 
after 3.

If you are going to be operating at home, I can't wait to hear from you!
Let us know where you will be listening from!

Hello Scouts and Amateur Radio Operators


After a 2 year respite; I'm Putting the Band Back Together


We are quickly approaching the 62nd  Jamboree on the Air.

This year's JOTA takes place on October 19th I am heading up a group of 
Hams and Scouts;

We will put 300+ Cub Scouts from Narragansett Council On the Air from Camp
Norse in Kingston, MA


We will operate station KC1TAC from 10am-3pm Saturday October 19th, on
2Meters; local repeaters and across the HF bands. Our goal is to give 
the Cub Scouts a taste of Amateur Radio and have each
Scout make at least one contact!


YOU CAN HELP!


How can you help? 1st; Are you hosting a JOTA Station?
Let me know what your plans are so we can share them with other stations.

Please forward the following Info to share.
Name, Scout Position, Call Signs/Station, Date, Time, Location, Council and
Unit#

2nd; Are you or do you know an Eastern Mass Repeater Trustee?
We have Whitman and Bridgewater
Will they allow us to use their Repeater for JOTA contacts?
All info regarding the repeater is helpful; location, frequency, tone -/+.

Does the Repeater have Eco-link?
Might your trustee change the station name (for the day) to read JOTA
station and Location?

3rd; Might you like to help us at Camp Norse?
Maybe you have a Special Skill you can demonstrate?
Fox Hunter, Code, satellite. ANYTHING!
Bring your gear, show it off, encourage the Scouts!
Get back to me about your skill and willingness to help.

It doesn't take much.
The Scouts are 1-5th graders and spend 2-8 mins with you then they will 
move to the next radio.
